The head of the State Cadastre Agency, Artan Lame, has held a conference regarding property registration.

Lame stated that there are many cases of abuse and this started with the non-registration of state property over the years.

"Now we are focused on the registration of state property. We all know what happened. I don't want to put my finger on the past. The cases of abuse are endless and it started due to the non-registration of state property over the years", said Lame.

The Head of Cadastre underlined that every year there are over 1 million applications related to problematic situations regarding the property issue.

Among other things, he also mentioned the case of the Shënkolli prison yard in Lezhë.

"I bring the example of the Shënkolli Prison in Lezhë, which the owner of the Prison yard came up with. The building has remained in the state and the owner has left the yard. On Wednesday, a VKM for the updating of public properties will be submitted to the government, which will specify the procedure for how these properties will be identified. Today we are launching the state property registration project", stated Lame./ CNA.al
