Vetting in the media and support from the US Embassy

For some time now, not only at CNA.al, but also in other online media, scandalous facts have been published about media owners, about concession companies in connections with the government, partnerships that come from the money of Albanian taxpayers, from the government to television owners.

On the other hand, owners who build, who win tenders, and further convicted drug traffickers, who are media owners. The US Embassy has declared some of them non grata.

They cannot enter the United States, and a ?black list? has not yet been made public.

But maybe it?s time to ask the embassy for this list. To make it public, and tell us the names of people who have been denied a visa to the United States. Exclusively the media people, but it would be even more important if the list included politicians.
But let’s stay in the media. Today the media needs Vetting, and for that needs the support of the US Embassy. We need a Vetting at all costs. There must be a transparency of media owners, who they are, where they come from, and how they have secured their assets.
Thus, Albanians will learn that in these 30 years the media has not been the advocacy of the public. It was not the advocacy of the citizens, but it was part of the political bargaining of the day, and the corruption of the 30-year-old system.

We need a Vetting in the media and a truth with the help of the US Embassy. Because a
while ago there was also a statement, by an official of this Embassy. After a meeting that a businessman had at this institution, a very strong reaction came.
There have also been businessmen who have accused national television, and important media of fines.

There are cases where TV owners turn out to be involved in corrupt affairs. Not to mention those involved in tenders, blackmails, and others things like this. Therefore, it is time to ask for a Vetting in the media, a support from the US Embassy to do this Vetting, and to show once and for all, the painful truth of who is the media in Albania./CNA.al
