Bluetooth is an application, which has traveled side by side with users for two decades.

We see this application installed everywhere on home appliances, and of course on phones.

ABI Research estimates that 5 billion Bluetooth-enabled devices will ship to consumers this year, with that figure expected to grow to 7 billion by 2026. Bluetooth is now in everything from smartphones to home appliances, allowing an increasing number of products connect to each other without problems.

But businesses and consumers continue to embrace Bluetooth. Apple, perhaps most significantly, ditched traditional headphone ports and introduced its popular wireless Bluetooth headphones, the AirPods. Other tech companies have since released similar products.

Some die-hard audiophiles, the kind of people "who complain Spotify isn't good enough," as Harrison puts it, also refuse to embrace the world of Bluetooth headphones for sound quality reasons, CNN writes. 

Despite its shortcomings, Harrison doesn't see the demand for Bluetooth declining and admits that he himself uses it without problems about "70% of the time."

"Bluetooth hasn't seen its peak yet," Harrison said. "Bluetooth will be the glue that ties it all together."/ CNA.al
