Instagram tests new feature / What the social media platform brings this time

Instagram is testing a new feature that will allow users to share other people's posts in their feeds.

The 'repost' feature was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra in a video tweeted by Instagram boss Adam Mosseri.

In the video, Mosser uses his account to demonstrate Instagram's Archive feature, but when he opens his profile, a repost tab is visible alongside the usual posts, reels and tabs of tagged photos on his grid.

Instagram has since confirmed to TechCrunch that it plans to test the repost feature with a small number of users.

" We're exploring the possibility of resharing posts in Feed, similar to how you can reshare in Stories, so that people can share what resonates with them, and so the original creators can be credited for their work," a spokesperson from Meta./ CNA.al told TechCrunch
