OFFICIAL/ Albania confirms another friendly, the national team travels to Arab land

The Albanian national team will play a friendly with Saudi Arabia on October 26, 2022.

The Communication Department of the AFL informs that an agreement has been reached with the Football Federation of Saudi Arabia to play a match in the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, the time and the stadium where this friendly will be played are still to be determined after the final discussions between the two federations. This will be the first match in history between Albania and Saudi Arabia, who have not met before in the past in football.

In the coming months until the start of the "Qatar 2022" World Cup, Albania will play other friendlies according to the FIFA calendar, while the AFL is working to formalize the next rivals.

In the month of September, the Albanian National Team will play the last two group matches in the UEFA Nations League. On September 24, the Reds and Blacks face Israel in a transfer game, while on September 27 we will host Iceland at the "Air Albania" stadium in Tirana. Then it will be the turn of friendly matches.
