OFFICIAL/ The abandonment of the match against Romania, UEFA punishes Kosovo

UEFA has decided to award the victory to Romania, after the events that took place in the match against Kosovo.

The "Dardana" players abandoned the match, due to anti-Albanian chants on the field. UEFA clarifies that Kosovo loses the match on the table, for abandoning the match.

UEFA decision

To declare the 2025 Nations League match between the representative teams of the Romanian Football Federation and the Football Federation of Kosovo, which was played on 15 November 2024, a match abandoned by the Football Federation of Kosovo (which is therefore considered lost the match 3-0) for responsibility for not playing the entire match (as provided for in Article 25.01 UEFA Nations Regulations League).

To fine the Football Federation of Kosovo with 6000 euros for improper behavior of its team.
