Behind the scenes revealed, Bayern was close to approaching Yamal for 5 million euros

German newspaper "Bild" has revealed that Bayern Munich were very close to signing Lamine Yamal in 2022.

At the time, the Barcelona talent was only 15 years old and the Bavarians had held meetings with his representatives in Madrid.

The deal could have been closed for a sum of around 5 million euros. It was the then sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, who led the negotiations for his move to Germany.

However, renowned manager Jorge Mendes entered the scene, taking charge of the player's interests and stopping any potential deal.

Following this development, Yamal made the step towards Barcelona's first team. Today, the 18-year-old is seen as one of the most promising talents in world football.
