Broja is honest: I miss the goal, I haven't done any preparation phase

Armando Broja, spoke after Albania's 1-0 victory over Latvia. In his statement, the striker said that it was a difficult match, but appeared happy about the victory.

Broja stressed that he is missing the goal, but added that he is confident that it will come. He also admitted that he has not had a preparatory phase.

"We knew it would be a difficult match. When we played there we drew 1-1. They defended well. They play a lot of passing and beautiful football. Sometimes you need 1-0, because the matches are difficult to create chances and goals. They were too far behind and had no space. We played very well in the first half. In the second half we could have played better, but we are happy with the victory.

I miss the goal a lot. I'm a striker, I have to score goals. In the last 4-5 games I've played on the right wing and it's a new position. I'm learning it better. I haven't played in that position for years. We have to understand each other with the players I have close to me. We created some chances. I put some balls in the area. The goal has to come and in my opinion it will come.

"I haven't had a full preparation phase. There have been things between clubs, I'm not talking. I haven't had good training during the preseason. It's good that I played today. It's good that I got fit for myself. I haven't been active for a long time and for me this is important," Broja declared for Tv Klan.
