A penalty kick, Albania takes the win and passes Serbia

Albania won 1-0 against Latvia in the World Cup qualifier match, held at the "Air Albania" stadium.

The only goal of the match was scored by Kristjan Asllani in the 25th minute, from the penalty spot. The penalty came after a cross from Qazim Laçi, which was stopped by an opposing player.

After the advantage, the Rossoneri had several more scoring chances with Bajram, Hoxha and Broja, but they failed to finish. Latvia also had a chance to equalize, but Strakosha and Mitaj avoided the danger.

With this victory, Albania climbs to second place in Group K with 8 points. Serbia drops to third place with 7 points, after being defeated 5-0 by England. This result keeps the Rossoneri in the race for qualification.
