Gabriel Bortoleto will debut in Formula 1 in 2025.

The 20-year-old pilot has signed with Sauber/Audi, with the team having previously confirmed the departure of Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.

The next season of this team will also compete with Nico Hulkenberg, while it is worth noting that Bortoleto will be the second pilot of the team, with the Brazilian who defeated Valteri Bottas in the "runoff".

Why did Sauber choose Bortoleto over Bottas, the more experienced driver?

Bortoleto is the reigning F3 champion and is currently leading the F2 championship, while he is considered one of the most promising drivers for the future.
