The attacker openly rejects Albania: I want to play in the World Cup with...

Brajan Gruda finally closes the door to Albania. The striker wants to play only for Germany and he made this known in a recent interview.

Speaking on the channel of the German Federation, Gruda declared that he is happy with the Germans, while emphasizing that the aim is to play with the Panzer National Team A in the next World Cup.

"I have family in Albania, my parents come from there. I was born here and spent my youth in Germany. I don't know what the future holds, but my heart tells me that I want to play for Germany. I'm happy to be here, I'm having fun, both in and out of training. I've been back training for a week. I think I will introduce myself slowly and get some minutes in the first game. Maybe more in the second game. I will make the most of my time with the U21s, the minutes will do me good. 

Gathering with the German A national team was a wonderful feeling. I was able to train with players that I had only seen on TV before. It was intense and you could clearly see the difference in quality compared to the U21s. 

At the moment I'm happy to be with the U21s and that's the focus now. But everyone wants to play for the A team. My goal is the 2026 World Cup and I want to play an important role there. I want to win everything with the U21s. It is better if we win both. "My time in the adult team will come," Gruda declared.

The 20-year-old striker has been a great desire of coach Silvinjo, who wanted to bring him to Albania before the European Championship, but he couldn't do it.

With the last interview, Gruda hinted that there is no possibility for him to play for Albania in the future, as his goal is only the German National Team.

The player stood out with Mainz in the Bundesliga, while in the summer market he was transferred to the English Brighton, where he has not yet managed to make a mark.
