The General Court of the European Union will hold a public hearing on October 18 of this year regarding the transfer of Lionel Messi from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.

This initiative has been undertaken by a group of French partners of the Barcelona club, who have decided to denounce such a fact in court.

According to the information from the program "Que t'hi jugues", in "SER Catalonia", based on the statements of Juan Branko, the lawyer of the initiator group, Barça fans denounced the lack of equal conditions in the competition due to changes in tax laws in two countries, Spain and France, as well as the salary limit and the application of Financial Fair Play.

Branko pointed out that this court is the only institution at the European level that can force the European Commission to make a change in the rules of continental football, since "UEFA has failed to impose harmonization".

The lawyer commented that if the court considers that a violation has occurred, it can punish both France and the beneficiaries of the operation, in this case PSG.
