UEFA has announced the shortlist of footballers competing for the UEFA Player of the Year award for the 2022-2023 season.

The three nominees for this individual award are three players: Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and Leo Messi. The two Manchester City players and the former PSG player will compete for the award, which will be presented on August 31 in Monte Carlo.
