The Albanian athlete, Luiza Gega, has made a strong reaction on social networks, regarding the elections that will be held in the Athletics Federation, for the election of the president on December 4.

Taulant Stërmasi and former athlete Izmir Smajlaj were initially in the race. However, it seems that the latter will enter the election alone.

The candidacy of Stërmas, who took the leadership of FSHA about two years ago after the earthquake that shook the federation, where all the previous leaders, convicted of manipulation of results by the World Federation, were disqualified by the working group for the assembly election. Luiza Gega has also been disqualified as a candidate for the governing council of the federation.

Albania's best athlete has come out with a reaction, expressing her indignation at the created situation, while pointing the finger at the former leaders of the FSHA. Gega shows all her frustration for a country where honest working people are fighting.

I want to share something as a sportswoman who struggles to build something good for herself and her country, something that affects me directly, on which the future of many sportsmen who want to do something good for their country depends. Sport has taught me many things, it has taught me to dream, to work hard, to compete to give the best, to compete honestly, to respect the opponent, to enjoy victory as well as to accept defeat.

What he never taught me was how to be silent and let go of the things I have tried the most for, how to be silent against injustices, manipulations and leave room for regret and to say why I at least didn't try. Therefore, today I want to try not to destroy what I love the most in the dirtiest way. And you have to believe me that there is nothing personal, but everything I have with the phenomenon and with anyone who would act in this way.

Those who were condemned by the World Federation for manipulation still insistently continue to taint every ounce of justice with their dirty manipulation. This part hurts me because I have invested my whole life to do something good for my country and the way they want to destroy it is scary. I have fought every day of my life to be where I am and I will continue to fight for those children and young people who destroy their dreams before they even start.

Two years ago, the Albanian Athletics Federation was sentenced for manipulation for 5 years from any sports activity and not even to approach the stadiums. Condemned the former president and at the same time the coach of Izmir Smajlaj, Gjergj Rulin, the secretary Nikolin Dionisi and the sportsman Izmir Smajlaj, condemning them for manipulating the result of an activity that took place in Tirana, like many, many other results that he has manipulated over the years.

Sportisti Izmir Smajlaj e fitoi gjyqin me pretendimin që nuk ishte në dijeni për manipulimet që bëheshin, por për fat të keq, ne të gjithë e dinim, sigurisht edhe Izmiri. Kjo është dhe arsyeja pse të gjitha normat olimpike dhe rekordet, unë i kam arritur në pistat më të mëdha botërore, që të mos isha kurrë pjesë e këtyre lojërave të ndyra që bëheshin në aktivitetet kombëtare në Shqipëri.

Për më tepër Federata Botërore e Atletikës dënoi përveç individëve edhe federatën tonë, ku për një kohë të pa caktuar nuk do t’i njihte asnjë rezultat që bëhej në Shqipëri në qoftë se nuk do të plotësonin të gjitha kriteret e një loje të pastër dhe të ndershme. Ka qene një periudhë shumë e vështirë për mua, sepse u bë lajm në të gjitha mediat sportive botërore, ku shumë sportistë, trajnerë qoftë dhe kundërshtare të miat, jo pak herë e shfrytëzonin duke thënë se ‘si ka mundësi që ndodhin këto gjera në vendin tuaj’.

Nuk kam dashur kurrë të flas për këtë gjë sepse nuk do doja kurrsesi të dukej si një sulm ndaj Izmirit edhe pse në fakt këto skandale kurrë nuk duhen lejuar të kalojnë në heshtje. Sportistët derdhin gjak e djersë duke u përpjekur të arrijnë rezultate të larta dhe mënyra se si injorohet kjo është për të ardhur keq.

Duke qenë se federata mbeti në atë gjendje, iu luta trajnerit tim ta merrte përsipër, sepse e dija që vetëm ai mund ta nxirrte nga llumi ku FSHA ishte futur, me pasionin dhe që ka dhe njeriun më të drejtë që njoh. U zhvillua një asamble e jashtëzakonshme, ku edhe pse iu bënë shumë presione klubeve që të mos e votonin, përsëri ai arriti që të fitojë. Aty filloi edhe sfida e madhe, sepse duhej të nxirrte federatën nga dënimi. Kjo gjë kërkonte jashtëzakonisht shumë punë, dhe për këtë u përfshinë trajnerë, sportistë, gjyqtarë për të ndihmuar në proces.

U trajnuan disa persona për fotofinishin, matësin e erës, u mor gjyqtar ndërkombëtarë që njihej nga Federata Botërore për t’u bërë trajnim gjyqtareve tanë si dhe të monitoronte çdo aktivitet kombëtar. Çdo aktivitet dhe rezultat i garave pasqyrohej në ‘çebsite’ zyrtar të federatës gjë që federata më parë nuk e kishte pasur kurrë. Gjithsesi gjatë këtyre më pak se dy viteve u morën vesh shume gjerë se çfarë kishte ndodhur në gjithë këto vite me federatën.

Por gjërat e ndyra nuk marrin fund me kaq, pasi duhet të bëhen zgjedhjet e reja dhe të shpallen kandidaturat për president, ku në garë ishin Izmir Smajlaj dhe Taulant Stërmasi. Deri në këtu nuk ka asgjë të keqe, sepse çdo kush ka të drejtë të kandidojë edhe pse unë kam rezervat e mia, pasi të marrësh përsipër një federatë duhet të dish diçka më tepër se sa thjesht të vraposh apo të kërcesh. Gjithsesi, kjo pak rëndësi ka.

Four associations have been added for votes only in the last 2 months.

Furthermore, the court determines which member it recognizes in these elections and cites all clubs. But this thing is done how to win at the table. In addition, I was also excluded as I was proposed by my former school 'Mještria Sportive', to be a member of the presidency in the federation, given that I contributed so much.

We all knew about many things that would happen, the pressures that were put on the clubs even from the highest sports umbrella, because unfortunately our Albania is very small and everything is known how it happens, when it happens and by whom it happens... But again, you think that they will obey and agree with the fact that people who get tired, work hard and give results, the day will come when they will be accepted. But no, here they continue with the greatest impudence to try in all forms not to let any person who loves this country to work and do something good.

Never in my life have I asked for anything I don't deserve and don't deserve, never anything. I swear to you that I have never hurt anyone with what I do, because I don't enjoy it, I don't feel happy and I never will. I love this country and I have fought a lot to make a small contribution for the good with what I do, being fair and before being a good sportswoman, to be a good person. But I cannot allow these things to happen in sports as well, as sports should not be smeared with mud.

I thank all those clubs who did not decide to send to represent an association built like some others did just to be part of this shit, but decided to represent themselves and the task they have undertaken. I raise this concern because I don't want to destroy every effort and every dream to make this country better.
