Spain joins three national teams, learn the winners of all the World Cups

The Spanish national team has won its second world championship title after defeating Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup final, joining the group of countries that have won at least two such trophies.

This success follows their first triumph in 2010. Throughout the history of this global competition, which began in 1930 with Uruguay's victory, only eight national teams have managed to be declared champions.

Brazil leads the list of the most successful with five titles, followed by Italy and Germany with four each, and Argentina with three trophies.

Alongside Spain, Uruguay and France also participate with two titles each, while England only has one triumph in history.

The tournament's run over the years was interrupted only during World War II, only to return with Uruguay's second victory in 1950.

The Spanish's latest triumph confirms their new dominance in international football.
