A major scandal has been uncovered at the Olympic Games "Paris 2024", in Canada's women's soccer. FIFA has decided to punish this national team with the removal of 6 points in the group, for espionage.

Members of the Canadian national team spied on the opponents, following their training secretly with a drone. Coach Bev Priestman, team analyst Josef Lombardi and Jasmin Mander have been suspended for a year.

These three people, in cooperation with each other, followed the training of the rivals with a drone. After being informed, FIFA launched an investigation and found that the allegations were true.

"The Canadian Federation was found liable for failing to comply with applicable FIFA regulations to ensure compliance by its officials participating in the Olympic Soccer Tournament with the ban on drones flying over training fields.

"Members of the national team were found responsible for offensive behavior and violations of the principles of fair play in relation to the use of drones by the Canadian women's representative team in the framework of the Olympic Football Tournament," said the FIFA statement.

The complaint was originally made by New Zealand, the national team that Canada will face in their next group game.

Currently, the Canadians have minus 3 points in the ranking, after winning the first game.
