Prosecutors in Turkey are investigating a major football-fixing scandal involving fixed scores and away matches.

Turkish media "Mynet" reports that a structured criminal group is being investigated, which is accused of money laundering, illegal betting and fixing football matches.

It is said that this group has influenced the rigging of some matches in some clubs in the Balkans and Georgia. According to "Mynet", the betting scheme also includes clubs from Albania, North Macedonia and Georgia.

In the explanation of the aforementioned report, it is said that through VIPs, the criminal organization advertised illegal betting sites, giving many citizens the opportunity to play online. The role of the VIPs was to advertise illegal companies on their social networks, "absorbing" as many customers as possible. VIPs were paid huge sums by criminal groups for advertising on social networks. And according to the Turkish media, it is suspected that the money illegally obtained by criminal groups was re-entered the market to be cleaned by the VIPs themselves, although their role continues to be investigated.

"Mynet" points out that the advertising of these companies online by famous people is done against extremely high payments, up to 1 million dollars for a certain number of posts about them. It is expected that in the following days more details will emerge about these groups and how they organized illegal betting or how far their influence has extended in Turkey and other Balkan countries.
