Albania U-21 defeated by Germany, friendly ends

The Albanian U-21 national team played its first friendly match of September against Germany U-21 this afternoon at the “Elbasan Arena”. The Reds were defeated with a score of 0-2.

Coach Bushi started the challenge with this starting lineup: Aron Jukaj (GK), Feta Fetai (c), Zylyf Muca, Elton Fikaj, Ervin Bashi, Gabriel Ramaj, Burak Alili, Ermir Rashica, Etnik Brruti, Aidon Shehu, Enes Osmani.

The first half was even. The first dangerous opportunity came in the 9th minute with Shehu, who tried a shot, but was stopped by the goalkeeper. Germany then created several good chances, but Jukaj reacted quite well.

In the 39th minute, Albania came close to scoring with a powerful free kick by Brruti, but the opposing goalkeeper deflected it for a corner. The first half ended goalless.

Germany started the second half with 10 substitutions and took the lead in the 48th minute through Ansah. Just four minutes later, Pejcinovic doubled the lead.

In the 56th minute, coach Bushi made three substitutions, activating Gudjuf, Toma and Arlind Kurti.

Five minutes later, Albania had a good chance with Alili, but his attempt ended up outside the box.

Until the end, the Red and Blacks also activated Përndreca, Elezaj, Simnica and Marku, but without managing to find the way to the net.

The match ended 0-2 for Germany.

Albania U-21 will play its second friendly match on September 8, against Switzerland, at 18:30, at the "Brügglifeld" stadium in the city of Aarau.
