Criticism erupts, Serbia makes a firm decision for fans

The Serbian Football Federation has decided that no tickets will be sold for free for the October 11 match against Albania.

This decision was made following recommendations from FIFA, the Ministry of Interior and UEFA, also taking into account the incidents of 2014.

The Leskovac stadium will accommodate around 6,500 spectators, selected from a list of regional federations, clubs, football schools, sponsors and official organizations, while 20% of the capacity will remain empty due to the FIFA sanction.

Tickets will be personalized and entry requires identification. The match has been declared high-risk and was therefore moved from Belgrade to Leskovac.

There will be no Albanian fans present in the stadium, according to an agreement between the parties. The Serbian Footballers' Union has described this as a unique case in 100 years, while public figures such as Vladimir Stimac have sharply criticized the government for the way tickets were distributed.
