Ronaldo is punished in Saudi Arabia, the Portuguese apologizes for the gesture

Cristiano Ronaldo is not having a very good time in Saudi Arabia, where he is part of the Al Nassr team.

The Portuguese was the protagonist of a not-so-elegant gesture at the end of the match, in the Super Cup semi-final against Al Hilal. The 39-year-old became the protagonist in a collision at the end of the match, where he was also punished with a red card.

Frustrated by the 2-0 result in favor of Al Hilal, in the end Ronaldo did not hold back and elbowed one of his opponents. The referee punished him with a red card for the gesture, but the Lusitanian strongly protested. At one point, the cameras even focused on him, as he gestured to hit the referee.

For this gesture, Ronaldo received a punishment in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese has been suspended for two matches, while he has also been ordered to pay a hefty fine.

After that, Ronaldo is said to have apologized to the minister of sports in Saudi Arabia. The matter continues to be discussed, since it is about a big name like Ronaldo and his gesture has made a big fuss all over the world.
