Pedro gets punched by the athletic trainer: Flamengo sacks Sampaoli's assistant

Flamengo sacked assistant coach Pablo Fernandez for punching forward Pedro in the face for alleged insubordination. The footballer filed a complaint against him because of the incident that happened the day before. The former Fiorentina striker shared the ugly episode on his social media channels. Pedro, who was in Brazil's squad at the last World Cup, said Fernandez punched him in the face. The incident happened after Flamengo's 2-1 win against Atletico Mineiro in a Brazilian league match. Minas Gerais police said the assistant coach also slapped him three times before punching him.

"I could stay here and talk about the few minutes taken in the last games. But what happened today was more serious than what can happen on the field.
