There are no more doubts, Daku decides for the future

Mirlind Daku has no intention of leaving Rubin Kazan. Although the Russian football transfer market will remain active until February 20, the Albanian national team striker seems determined to stay at least until the end of the season.

There have been no shortage of offers for him, but the Russian club has set a high price for his card, for which 10 million euros are requested. This amount has caused interested clubs to withdraw. According to Russian media, Cagliari from the Italian Serie A and Lens from France had shown interest in Daku, but did not dare to send an official offer due to Rubin Kazan's financial demands. The Russian club itself denies having received any concrete offer, but it seems that there has been movement behind the scenes for him.

Daku continues to be one of Rubin's most important players this season. With 9 goals scored so far, he is on track to reach the records of Buharov and Dominguez, who have each scored 16 goals in a season with the Russian team. His main objective is to equal or exceed this figure, proving that he is a high-caliber striker.

Another important issue is the contract renewal. His current deal is not long-term, and therefore the club aims to secure him with a new contract, to avoid losing him for free or for a small fee in the future. At the moment, no decision has been made, but talks could start soon.

Another possibility for his future is a move to Turkey. However, reports from Russian media indicate that Daku does not prefer this destination for sporting reasons. He wants a move to one of Europe's top leagues, such as Serie A, La Liga or the Bundesliga, where he can grow professionally and show his worth at a higher level.

Rubin coach Rashid Rahimov has stated that Daku will be part of the team until the end of the season, and his father, Feimi, has also confirmed the same. For now, he is focused on playing for Rubin and helping the team achieve its goals for the season. If he continues at this pace, he could become one of the most important players in the Russian championship, attracting even more attention from European clubs.
