In charge of the US national team, Pochettino does not hold back: We can win the World Cup!

Mauricio Pochettino has taken charge of the United States national team and to fire up the atmosphere of his team has said that they can win the 2026 World Cup.

In a statement made to the media, the former Chelsea coach said that his team must believe that they can win the World Cup.

"We have to believe that we can win not only a game, but also the World Cup. I want that when the players come to the national team, they will be with their heads up" - said Pochettino.

The Argentinian took charge of the United States national team a few days ago, with the aim of winning the 2026 World Cup.

Pochettino replaced Gregg Berhalter, who was sacked in July after the Americans were eliminated from the Copa America group stage.  

The United States is currently ranked 16th in the FIFA rankings. They have won just one of their last seven games./ CNA
