The trial of "life", Manchester City risks serious punishment

Manchester City are at a delicate moment regarding the future of the team, with the club being accused of 115 financial offences. The club has been accused of violating the rules of "Financial Fair Play". and the first court hearing will be held on September 16.

The court process will last ten weeks and the decision will be taken at the beginning of 2025. The English club denies the accusations that they may be participants in one of the biggest scandals in the history of sports. Various penalties are possible, from large financial penalties to confiscation of trophies and expulsion from the Premier League.

The accusations against the City are:

-From 2009 to 2018, 54 times it has failed to issue an accurate financial report.

- 14 times he did not submit accurate reports for the payment of players and coaches from 2009 to 2018.

-Breached Financial Fair Play in the Premier League seven times from 2015 to 2018.

- Failed to co-operate with a Premier League investigation 35 times between December 2018 and 2023.
