One of them is Igor Denisov. A sports "star" in Russia, who from 2008 to 2016 was part of the Russian national football team, has come out against President Putin.

Denisov counts 54 matches with Russia and moreover also held the captain's armband in his period. Finally he spoke in harsh tones about the situation created, considering the war, a real catastrophe.

I can no longer bear it, I see innocent people dying, this must stop immediately. I'm sure there are many, many others in Russia who think like me but have chosen to remain silent, I no longer. Enough with that! ”Said Denisov.
