The president of the AFL, Armand Duka, has reacted to the death of the Albanian football legend, Bejkush Birçes.

Through a status on social networks, Duka gives a message of condolence to the family, relatives and friends of the former coach of the Albanian National Team.

He declares that Albania has lost a person with many contributions to football, a man of strong character, a very good friend and family member.

"Saddened by the news of the death of Bejkush Birçe!

We have lost one of the people with the most contributions to Albanian football, as a player, coach and leader in the AFL. We have lost a man of strong character, a very good friend and family member.

On behalf of myself and the Albanian football community, I want to express my condolences to the family, relatives and friends, who have lost a person very dear to them.
