Jamal Musiala will be out for a long time after suffering another serious injury. The Bayern Munich player suffered a fractured fibula and a dislocated ankle during the match against PSG in the Club World Cup.
The club confirmed that the player will undergo surgery and is expected to be out for around 4-5 months. Musiala had recently recovered from another knee tendon injury.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl described the move as a "heavy blow" for the club and the player. He stressed Musiala's importance in the team's plans and the club's full support during his rehabilitation.
The 22-year-old has now returned to Munich and will undergo surgery in the coming days.
