The "deception" in the CV of the UEFA president is a scandal in Slovenia

The name of Aleksandr Ceferin, in the headlines in the Slovenian media. "Prava" has published an investigation that affects the current president of UEFA.

Ceferin is accused of lying on an item on his CV which, if known, would have made it possible for him to be elected UEFA president in 2016.

This alleged forgery comes just days after he was re-elected for another four years at the helm of European football's governing body.

Ceferin added in his biography that he was a member of the board of directors of Olimpija Bezigrad between 2006 and 2011, something that was not true.

An investigation that could complicate his future

In fact, this has been an important point of being UEFA president, as this experience is needed to qualify for the position he holds.

There are no further investigations in this regard, but in Slovenia this news has caused a great stir. At the moment, Ceferin has secured the position until 2027.

Time will tell if this information can jeopardize his mandate.
