As he awaits a new project to get back on the pitch, Roberto Mancini looks back and reveals what influenced his recent career decisions.

In an interview recently given to the Italian media, the coach expressed that he regrets leaving the Italian national team.

"If I could go back in time, I would cope differently with the separation with the National Team. The relationship of trust I had with the Federation was mutually damaged, but if President Gravina and I had talked and cleared things up, things probably wouldn't have turned out this way. Working while feeling that confidence in you as a person is wavering is not a good feeling, it does not guarantee you the right peace of mind. Despite this, I blame myself for not having faced everything more clearly with Gravina," Mancini said at the beginning.

Further, regarding the offer from Saudi Arabia, the Italian technician emphasized that it affected him somewhat, but added that it was not decisive.

"A high offer like this makes you think, I don't deny it. It influenced the decision to leave Italy's bench, but it was not decisive," said Roberto Mancini.
