The coach of Albania, Silvinjo, spoke to the media, after the publication of the provisional list, for the European.

Silvinho declared that he could not take more players, while he admitted that the choices were difficult.

"I must say that it is a pride that I am the coach of the Albanian national team that will go to Euro 2024. As for me and the staff, I would like to thank all those who have made a journey with all of us so far. Respect my for all of them.

Our selection is based on a lot of study, analysis, individual and collective characteristics of each player and each scenario that we will encounter in the competition. It's the manager's responsibility to pick the players and unfortunately I can't get everyone.

I tried to do my best, I devoted all my efforts for the best of the team. We play for 3 million Albanians who play here and more than 10 million around the world.

Of course, working with a national team is different from clubs, we had 2 friendlies in March that we gave the opportunity to some players that we didn't give before we tried. In the friendlies we did some testing and tried some players we wanted to try.

The door is open at any moment, you can be in shape and receive the invitation. We don't have much time to experiment. I emphasize once again that the European finals are something completely different from the qualifiers where you have 10 months to play, but every player is at 100%.

My choice is difficult but I want to thank all the players, I can't invite more players. I am convinced that the group of players is calm, I was a football player myself and I know what it means to sit on the bench or in the stands, it does not feel good, but they must agree with the coach's decisions," declared Silvinjo.
