Lampard speaks after returning to Chelsea: I came home!

Frank Lampard is delighted to be back at his club, with the returning Chelsea manager saying it was an "easy decision" to take on an interim role.

The Blues legend has returned to Stamford Bridge for a third time and a second spell in charge, following the sacking of Graham Potter.

The former midfielder, who spent 13 years at the Londoners as a player, has agreed to take the reins of the Premier League giants on a temporary basis until the end of the 2022/23 season.

"Easy decision for me, this is my club. I'm also a very practical person," Lampard initially said after the presentation.

"I've been on a different path since I left Chelsea, but to come back when I'm asked and come back with the belief that I can help until the end of the season."

"I'm glad to have the opportunity and I'm grateful. "I understand the team, the training ground, the stadium and the fans well and I will do my best," concluded the Englishman.
