Albanian Cup/ The eight quarterfinal teams are determined, the pots for the draw are divided

The matches of the 1/8 stage of the Albanian Cup have concluded, where the eight quarter-final teams of this edition were determined.

Laçi, Bylis, Skënderbeu, Egnatia, Dinamo City, Vllaznia, Partizani and AF Elbasani are the eight teams qualified for the next stage of the Albanian Cup.

On Tuesday, Laçi defeated Kukës 3-1, while Bylis secured qualification in extra time after defeating Tirana 2-1.

The remaining six matches of the 1/8 stage were played today. Egnatia defeated Kastrioti 4-0, while Dinamo City triumphed 6-1 over Erzeni. Thanks to the minimal 1-0 victory, Skënderbeu secured qualification against Vora.

In other matches, Partizan defeated Apolonia 2-0, while the Vllaznia – Besa and Teuta – AF Elbasani challenges went to extra time, after ending 0-0 in regular time.

AF Elbasani found the net twice in extra time and secured qualification, closing the challenge 2-0.

Meanwhile, at "Loro Boriçi", the red and blues of Vllaznia scored the winning goal in the 108th minute, advancing further in the Albanian Cup.

To determine the quarterfinal pairings, a free draw will be held among the eight teams qualified for this round.

Based on the regulations of the activity, the pots have been divided for the draw of the quarterfinals of the Albanian Cup. In Pot 1 are: Egnatia, Partizani, Vllaznia and Skënderbeu. In Pot 2 are: Laçi, Dinamo City, Bylis and AF Elbasani.

The matches will be played in a round-robin format, with two matches, and the first matches will take place on the field of the teams positioned in the second pot.

In the coming days, it will be announced when the draw for the quarter-finals of the Albanian Cup will be made.
