The Albanian U-19 national team starts training today for two friendly matches against Liechtenstein that will be played on August 9 and 11 at the "House of Football".

Coach Julian Ahmataj has invited 20 footballers for these two important tests, with the team preparing for the European qualifiers of this age group that take place in November.

The Albanian technician will have at his disposal all the most prominent elements of this age group, as 10 players come from Albanian clubs such as Skënderbeu, Tirana, Laçi, Teuta, Partizani and Dinamo and 10 of them are active in foreign clubs such as Empoli, Burnley, etc. Many of them have been part of the U-19 team before and are footballers who promise a lot for the future of Albania.

The team will gather this afternoon in Tirana, while training will take place at the Football House. The first match of the U-19 National Team led by coach Julian Ahmataj is scheduled to be played at the "House of Football" on August 9, starting at 5:30 p.m., while the second match is scheduled to be played two days later, on the 11 August at the "House of Football" at 10:00.

These friendlies against Liechtenstein are a good opportunity to validate the team within the framework of the commitments in the "Romania 2025" European qualifiers for this age group that will be played in our country in November. Albania is part of Group 11, along with Israel, Denmark and Northern Ireland, and aims to advance to the 'Elite Round' stage.
