Kevin de Bruyne has been voted the best midfielder of all time in the Premier League, beating off competition from Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes.

In a survey by "Visual Game", which deals with football statistics, the two-time winner of the best player of the year award in the Premier League, is one of two midfielders still active in the top ten of the classification.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard was voted second, while current Chelsea manager Frank Lampard completed the podium.

United midfield icon Paul Skolls and former Arsenal captain Patrik Vieira make up the starting five. City, Chelsea and United are the three clubs with the most midfielders in the list with the 30 most voted, while each of the clubs is represented by 8 footballers.
