The reason for the fight, Leroy Sane offended Sadio Mane before the latter hit him

Sadio Mane has been punished and fined by the club after punching teammate Leroy Sane in the dressing room following the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.

But it seems that the German was the one who started the conflict, offending the Senegalese. Senegalese newspaper Taggat published new information, claiming Mane was annoyed by the way Sane spoke to him on the pitch, which was followed by a confrontation in the dressing room.

In the 83rd minute of the meeting, the pair argued on the field after Mane did not pass the ball to Sana. The German was furious with his team-mate and a heated argument broke out on the pitch. Bild revealed that in the dressing room, Mane immediately complained about the way he addressed his team-mate.

"Black motherfucker," Sane is said to have said to Mane, after which the former Liverpool player punched him in the face. To calm things down, Sane was then ushered out of the dressing room while Mane was guarded by the rest of his teammates to prevent things from getting out of hand.

Bayern Munich wanted to resolve this conflict within the team before this information was revealed by media such as Bild and Sky. In the end Mane was suspended until further notice.
