"I'm too busy with music", the former Juventus player retires from football to become a rapper

Cases where footballers deal with music are not unusual in the world of football. Many current or "former" players have released their own songs from time to time, such as Depay, Neymar, Leao and even Maradona once. There are those who leave football to start a full-time career in music. Eljero Elia is like that.

The well-known Dutch footballer, who previously also played for Juventus in Serie A, in an interview for "ESPN", has personally announced his decision to leave football to become a rapper.

"I am leaving football. I'm so busy with music that I haven't even had time to play, but it's time to let the whole Netherlands know that I'm no longer a footballer," said Elia.

He recently released a hip-hop album titled Molenwijk dedicated to the neighborhood where he grew up.
