England did not have a World Cup to remember in 2014 as in the tournament that was organized in Brazil, the "Three Lions" could not go beyond the group stage. However, to this day, players who were part of the build-up have interesting moments to remember and James Milner reveals one of them. There is even a scary scene as Milner along with Phil Jagielka almost fell into the hands of local thugs.

"We were playing golf and I think we left the hotel a bit. Normally, we were warned not to leave the perimeter of the hotel, but we passed the gate. We were walking down the street and noticed some guys following us with fast steps.


We started to hurry, but so did they. Then we started running and were faster, but our path was cut off by a car that stopped in front of our feet. I thought that was the end and that we were going to be kidnapped, but as soon as the car doors opened I saw the security guys and we got in right away. We left very quickly and returned to the hotel."
