Marash Kumbulla scored his second goal of the season in the Spanish La Liga, wearing the Espanyol jersey.

The Albanian opened the scoring against Sevilla on the road, in the 15th minute, in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

After a cross, the ball remained in the area, the national team defender took full advantage and with a strong shot, stopped it at the end of the net.

Kumbulla called the point taken in Sevilla's field positive, although he added that he would have liked the triumph.

"We played a very good match. A point on Sevilla's field is positive. It's normal that after the advantage we would want the victory, but they scored a great goal and we return home with a point, which still helps us. It's a difficult field and it's normal that you can suffer.

After the ball was left in the area, I just had to score and I did it. This time too we had a lot of fans supporting us. We have to work hard to get the three points in the next game.

"The fans give us a lot of help and we have to work hard as a sign of gratitude to them," said Kumbulla.

For the 24-year-old, this is the second goal in La Liga, after the one scored against Mallorca in October. The Catalan team is ranked 18th with 20 points and the objective is survival.

Kumbulla is on loan at Espanyol until the end of the season, while Roma owns his card.
