"Gjiro Open Air"/ Albania takes third place in the test competition of free flights

Yang Chen from China, Matjaz Sluga from Slovenia and Xonatan Islami from Albania

"Gjiro Open Air" is the international competition of free flights in the discipline of precision.

After two successful editions of this competition, the Albanian Aeronautics Federation won the right to organize in Albania the 8th European Free Flight in 2024, in the city of Gjirokastra.

Next year, in 2024, Gjirokastra will host the best 140 pilots from every country in Europe to announce the European champions as a team and individual.

Meanwhile, this year, on October 5-7, official test races of the European 2024 took place, where 60 pilots from 11 countries of the world participated.

In the individual category, the winners were announced 1. Yang Chen (China) 2. Matjaz Sluga (Slovenia) 3. Jhonatan Islami (Albania)
