The Albanian billiards player, Eklent Kaçi, was declared world runner-up.

In the final of the World Cup in the discipline of 9 stones in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Albanian was defeated with a narrow score of 15-14 by the American Fedor Gorst.
