The Spanish Federation dismisses the coach, defended Rubiales

Horge Vilda's time at the head of the women's team has come to an end. The Spanish Federation (RFEF) has communicated this Tuesday to the current coach and the technical director of women's football of his dismissal from both duties.

He is dismissed after 8 years in charge of the national team and this happens just a few weeks after winning the most important title in the history of Spanish women's football: the World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand.

Vilda has managed a total of 108 official matches with a balance of 75 wins, 16 draws and 17 losses, as well as 310 goals for and 58 against, reaching a World Cup (2023), as well as an Algarve Cup (2017) and a Cyprus Cup ( 2018) – unofficial tournament.

The whole situation came after the 42-year-old came to the defense of the president of the Federation, Luis Rubiales.
