Euro U-17 for girls/ Match in Andorra, Albania starts with loss to Israel

The Albanian U-17 women's national team played today the first match of the second round of the European Championship against Israel. The match played at the Centre d'Entrenament FAF Santa Coloma ended with Israel's victory 3-1. The only goal for the national team was scored by Amelia Reci.

The coach of the U-17 National Team, Cyme Lulaj, fielded this starting 11: Ambra Reshiti (GK), Egla Hoxha, Sara Mustafa, Marina Rushaj, Albana Malaj, Samanta Hysa, Gerta Brahimi, Amelia Reci, Christina Heidi Bekteshi, Erina Bajramaj and Gelda Kadiolli (C).

The match did not start well for Albania, as the team was reduced to 10 players in the 19th minute. Marina Rushaj was sent off and Israel scored the first goal of the match in the 23rd minute through Ben Zvi. The first half ended with this result.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, the national team equalized in the 67th minute through Amelia Reci. The striker scored a super goal with a fantastic shot from outside the area.

When everything was going towards the end, Israel scored two goals in extra time through Ella Esther Fabian and the match ended 3-1.

On March 7, Albania will face host Andorra at 3:00 PM, while on March 10, the red and black team will play their final match against Belarus at 12:00 PM.
