Unexpected! Terzic leaves Borussia Dortmund

Coach Edin Terzic has resigned from the management of Borussia Dortmund.

This decision comes after the 41-year-old was defeated in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Dortmund also lost the championship title last season, in the last match in the Bundesliga. 

TERZIC'S MESSAGE: 

Dear Borussia, even though I am very hurt right now, I want to inform you that from today I will be leaving the club. It was a great honor to be able to lead this great club to a DFB Cup win and more recently to a Champions League final. I asked those in charge for a chat after our final at Wembley, because after nine years at Dortmund including six years in the youth team and two-and-a-half years as manager, I have a feeling that the next restart will be accompanied by a young man. Anyone who knows me knows that during this decision-making process over the past few weeks, two hearts beat in my chest. But even after intensive discussions, my basic feeling has not changed. I always wish Borussia Dortmund the best and say thank you and goodbye.
