Vu?i? confirms, stadium for Serbia-Albania unveiled

Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i? stated that the Serbia-Albania match will be played in Leskovac and not in Belgrade, referring to information received from the Football Federation.

He described this as a good decision, as according to him the atmosphere in that city is more positive for the national team. However, Vu?i? admitted that it is not certain whether fans will be allowed, as UEFA and FIFA may impose sanctions for the incidents that occurred in the match with England.

The Serbian head of state harshly criticized the federation for choosing the "Rajko Mitic" stadium over England, saying that it was not good for the national team. According to him, this was due to possible pressure from the British embassy.

"They tell me from the federation that we will play with Albania in Leskovac. Very good news. They love the national team there and the atmosphere is positive. I don't know if we will have fans, because FIFA and UEFA could punish us for the idiocies that happened against England. If so, we will do everything to support the team.

"I don't know who changed the stadium for England. Maybe the federation couldn't handle the pressure from the British embassy. We played the match in Belgrade in an atmosphere that is not good for the national team. The fans there don't love the national team and we all saw what happened in the stands and on the field," Vu?i? said.

Meanwhile, UEFA has not yet made the stadium change official and its website continues to list Belgrade as the venue for the match.
