Duka has no rivals, the Albanian Football Federation (AFH) makes the names

The Verification Commission, the body responsible for guaranteeing the integrity and legality of the electoral process, in accordance with the Regulation of the General Assembly of the Albanian Football Federation, held its next meeting today with a focus on verifying the proposals and legal criteria for candidates for the position of President, for members of the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation, as well as verifying the delegates proposed by members of the federation.

The meeting was held after the official deadline for filing candidacies. During the review, the Commission carefully analyzed each proposal submitted by the Assembly members, assessing fulfillment of statutory criteria, personal integrity, and compliance with the legal requirements of the electoral process.

At the end of the verification process, the Commission found that 13 candidates for members of the AFF Executive Committee have received the two necessary proposals from members of the Assembly and meet the criteria to be officially part of the competition.

The candidates, in alphabetical order, are:

For the position of President of the Albanian Football Association, the candidacy of Mr. Armand Duka, proposed by 33 members of the federation, has been registered.

Also, the Commission formalized the list of delegates of AFF members for the Assembly of 16.02.2026, in accordance with the number of delegates determined in Decision No. 1, dated 03.12.2025.

The General Electoral Assembly of the Albanian Football Federation will take place on February 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at the premises of the “House of Football”. During the Assembly, the President and members of the Albanian Football Federation Executive Committee will be elected for a new four-year mandate.
