Jose Mourinho is at the top of the list to replace the dismissed Fernando Santos on the bench of the Portuguese national team.

He was offered the role to manage Roma and the Lusitanian national team at the same time, with the Portuguese federation willing to do whatever it takes to reach an agreement with the 59-year-old.

However, it seems that the Italian media have another answer which says that Mourinho has rejected this offer and to replace Santos at the head will come the coach of the U21 national team, Rui Horge.
