Di Maria remembers the difficult moments of life: My daughter was almost dead

The Juventus player, Ángel Di María, recalled in the interview he gave to the newspaper Olé one of the most difficult moments of his life. He said his daughter, who was born prematurely, was about to die and he has fought hard to move forward. That life lesson helped him face sports difficulties with a different vision.

"That year we won the King's Cup with Real Madrid. I had a great season. When my daughter was born a week later, we played against Atlético and I scored a goal that I dedicated to her. It was complicated, because in the hospital we could only see him twice a day. We were forced to go home at night without the girl. It was very difficult, leaving and not knowing what was going to happen the next day. Sometimes we would arrive and there were other children who were no longer there. We would ask and they would tell us that they had left, died of a virus or some other reason.

My daughter taught me to fight, to never give up. For me and my family, and for my wife who lifts me up when I'm down and vice versa. We always remember the same thing, how we will give up and not believe if our daughter fought for her life and thank God today she is better than ever."
