Injury turns into nightmare! The red and black striker risks the challenge with Serbia, may have ended the season

Mirlind Daku's absence from Rubin Kazan's last match in the Russian championship initially caused surprise, but the situation appears to be serious.

The Albanian striker, who has been one of the Russian team's most important players this season, is facing an injury that could keep him out of action for longer than expected.

After missing Rubin's 0-4 defeat to Zenit, the Kazan team's coach, Rashid Rahimov, clarified the situation in a press conference, giving some not-so-good news.

According to him, Mirlind Daku has a serious injury and may need surgery, which is expected to keep him out for the rest of the season.

"Mirlind Daku has a serious injury. He may need minor surgery, and we don't know yet if he will be able to return before the end of the season."

This statement has caused alarm in both the Russian club and the Albanian national team, with the red and blacks expecting a historic clash with Serbia on June 7 at the "National Arena", as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
