Chelsea complete the transfer of the talent that was requested by the European giants

Chelsea has announced that it has transferred Kendry Paze from Independiente del Valle. Through an announcement on their official networks, the London club announced that the 16-year-old will be part of them as soon as he turns 18 and will stay on loan to this team.

"Chelsea Football Club has agreed to a deal to sign teenage midfielder Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle," their statement reads.

"The Ecuadorian, who will join Chelsea after his 18th birthday, has already established a reputation in South America as one of the brightest and most creative young talents around, thanks to his dribbling combination of able, along with the vision and technique to open up the defense with his pass."

"Paez caught the eye by finding the net on his first debut for his club this year, becoming the youngest debutant and goalscorer in the Ecuadorian league. He has made six appearances this season, apart from his continental debut in the 2-1 Copa Libertadores win over Corinthians at the start of May."

He also featured in the U-17 Copa América, registering two goals and six assists while captaining his country, before notching a goal and three assists as he started all four of Ecuador's games at the U-17 World Cup. 20 of this summer. He was previously named as the best talent in the 2022 Next Generation Trophy, a prestigious youth tournament in Austria, with clubs from all over the world," Chelsea said in a statement.
