Thomas Brdaric gave an interview to "DT Next" in India, where he recalled his past at Vllaznia. The former coach of the Red and Blues has shown the period when in Albania the salaries of the players were delayed and he himself decided to be close to them to provide them with food by inviting them for lunch and dinner in Shkodër. The head of the Chennaiyin bench has added that it is very important for him to create a strong relationship between himself and the players.

“Dihet që pagesat në Shqipëri ndonjëherë vonohen. Nuk dua të kritikoj [klubin tim të mëparshëm] për atë që ndodhi. Në përgjithësi, përpiqem të mbështes të gjithë lojtarët e mi. Unë dua të di se si janë ata… nëse u mungon diçka… nëse kanë nevojë për diçka.


Ne (Vllaznia) nuk kishim lojtarë të paguar shumë. Jam përpjekur t’i mbështes ata gjatë gjithë kohës, nuk ka rëndësi nëse ishte në fushë apo jashtë saj. Për mua, privatësia është shumë e rëndësishme. Me lojtarët e mi duhet të kem marrëdhënie dhe bashkëpunime të mira. Nëse jam në gjendje të ndihmoj dikë, do ta bëj këtë.
